Valerie & Domenic travelled to Las Vegas from Canada for a destination wedding with a couple close friends and family. We started the day at the Palazzo hotel where they both got ready. The hotel was decorated for the holidays and had plenty of decor to go with their winter wedding. We took a few portraits and headed down to the famous Graceland Chapel where Elvis and Priscilla were married. During the ceremony Elvis sang a few tunes and all of the guests wore elvis sunglasses and leis. We then headed to the Venetian for some more portraits of the newly married couple.
This weekend I was able to take part in The Help Portrait project. “HELP-PORTRAIT IS A GLOBAL MOVEMENT OF PHOTOGRAPHERS, HAIRSTYLISTS AND MAKEUP ARTISTS USING THEIR TIME, TOOLS AND EXPERTISE TO GIVE BACK TO THOSE IN NEED.”-Taken from their site.
The Las Vegas group met at the Shannon West Homeless Youth Center. There was fun music entertainment provided by the djs at Sound Fusion while the young men and women had their hair and makeup done by some of the best in town. There was a great group of Las Vegas photographers to capture pictures of the youth after they were pampered. It was truly a great feeling to be able to do something for these teens. They were all so grateful and nice. I can’t wait for them all to receive their images. I will definitely be there next year.
